Quick facts for Ohio
We called the largest counties in Ohio and learned that Franklin, Cuyahoga, Hamilton, and Summit counties post poll tapes on election night, so you can be an Actual Vote Hero in these counties!
Montgomery county, on the other hand doesn’t post poll tapes, so you don’t have the option of being an Actual Vote Hero here.
If you live in a different county in Ohio, it’s worth taking five minutes to call your county election office (see information below) to figure out how poll tapes work there. There might be many other counties in Ohio that post tapes!

More Details for Ohio
In Ohio, a 2022 Guide from the Secretary of State, on page 287 under “Closing the Polls” says “Post precinct results at the polling location as directed by the board of elections”.
A 2022 Election Official Manual doesn’t mention posting poll tapes. A Franklin County Poll Worker Training Manual from 2022, however, on page 139, says print two copies of the voting results report tape, and then “tear off the second copy of the voting results report tape to post at the voting location”. Similarly for a Cuyahoga County 2022 Poll Worker Training Manual on page 87: ““Voting Results Report — one copy posted at the exterior of the polling location facing outward…”
Actual Vote users may also be able to make an appointment with the Board of Elections to video-record tapes at the elections office after election day.
You can check what kind of voting equipment is used in your county.
