Every other report on this page is about a large group of submissions from a single state in a single election — dozens of poll tapes, often dozens of volunteers. This one is a little different.

Sometimes a single person, in a state or an election where we don't yet have a crowd, records one poll tape from one precinct. A lone submission like that is not inherently less worthy than a thousand-tape project — it is the same civic act, the same evidence, captured by someone who showed up. It just doesn't fill a county report on its own. So rather than let that work go unpublished, we compile these smaller submissions here, in one growing report, each given its own section and the same care as anything else we publish.

It matters to us to present this work — and we hope it's encouraging to anyone in a state where Actual Vote is still finding its footing: one tape is enough to count. Each submission below is archived and showcased; where we've been able to compare a tape to that precinct's official results, the section shows that spot-check and its outcome. A showcase on its own makes no comparison claim. Only completed spot-checks contribute to votes audited and to our cumulative totals, so nothing here is ever overstated.

Add your submission

If you have a poll tape from your precinct — even a single one — it belongs in a report like this. Record it with the Actual Vote app or your phone and get in touch. One tape is enough to add a section.

Technical and Legal Notes

This report is the work of America Counts, a non-partisan 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and a project of Democracy Counts, Inc. Each submission is based on data freely available to the public or available for free upon request; poll tapes were recorded by citizens using the Actual Vote app or their own device cameras. Where a spot-check is shown, it compares transcribed poll-tape values to the corresponding officially published results at the same grain, following the same methodology as our full reports (see Section 8 of the Technical Manual). Showcase-only entries make no comparison claim. All conclusions are the sole work and viewpoint of America Counts.
